How To Determine Which Step Is the Best Fit for Your RV

Step 1 - Threshold

Make sure the rise of your threshold is between 5/8'' and 3/4''. If it is greater or less than either of these measurements. the door may not close properly.

Step 2 - Hinge Plate

You must have a gap of 3/8'' from the bottom of your entry and screen doors to the top of the threshold to allow room for the step hinge plate. Without this clearance. your door will not have sufficient room to close while the steps are down.

Step 3 - Step Height

Find your step height by measuring from the top of the threshold to the ground.

Step 4 - Door Width

Find the door width on the factory label located on the side or edge of the door.

If there is no label. measure the inside at the base of the door from flange to flange and refer to the fit chart below. Please note that the flange to flange measurement is the narrowest part of the door opening.
